Judith von Wille, a trainee industrial clerk from our key partner VEMAG Maschinenbau GmbH, is currently completing a three-week international internship at Nemco Machinery A/S as part of her European Clerk qualification. We’ve asked Judith to share some insights from her experience so far. Judith, can you tell us a bit about yourself and what brought you to Nemco? My name is Judith von Wille, and I’m training as an industrial clerk at VEMAG Maschinenbau GmbH in Verden, Germany. As part of my additional qualification as a European Clerk, I’m required to complete an internship abroad — and I’ve chosen to do mine at Nemco Machinery A/S in Denmark. Nemco is one of VEMAG’s partners, so it felt like the right place for an international experience. What have you been doing during your internship? Since I arrived on March 27, I’ve had the opportunity to work in several different departments, including:
HR
Finance
Marketing
Service & Spare Parts
Back Office & Sales
Project Management
My daily tasks vary — for example, I’ve been preparing presentations, documenting trade fair activities, and attending internal meetings. These experiences give me a great insight into how different departments work together and into Nemco’s organisational structure. How do you find the experience so far? The atmosphere at Nemco is very warm and welcoming — I immediately feel like part of the team. Everyone is open, helpful, and interested in making sure I learn as much as possible. Also, living and working in Denmark in the spring season is a real bonus. With the good weather and relaxed working culture, it almost feels like being on vacation! Would you recommend doing an internship abroad? Definitely! This experience helps me grow both professionally and personally. It’s not only improving my language skills but also broadening my understanding of international work environments. If you get the chance to do an internship abroad — take it! I’m very glad I did.
We’re delighted to have Judith with us and proud to support her international learning journey. With her positive energy and curiosity, she already feels like part of the Nemco family.
